Craving a sweet and fizzy beverage? Ditch the canned beverages and choose sparkling water (preferably sugar free) instead! A lot of the traditional canned beverages like coke and fruit juices contain high fructose corn syrup, and this is detrimental to your health because it can cause a host of health problems such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. They also have no nutritional value, which categorizes them as empty calories. The zero calorie diet versions such as diet coke or pepsi aren’t any better either! Because although they have zero calories, they are sweetened with aspartame, which is an artificial sweetener that could be poisonous to your health.
