You can’t get any more Palaeolithic than this! Simple savoury sweetness is pretty much what you get when you are devouring this recipe.
Recipe:
1/2lb salmon
1 tsp organic pure maple syrup
A dash of sea salt
1/4 tsp ground oregano
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
All spice
Vegetables of choice
1/2 an avocado
Organic coconut oil (for sautéing vegetables)
Preheat your grill, or set your oven to broil, or 350 degrees.
Clean salmon and set aside. Mix spices with maple syrup and glaze evenly around salmon.
If grilling or broiling, let the salmon sit for about 10-12 minutes (flipping both sides) until smokey texture forms and all the spices are incorporated. You don’t want to cook it for too long or the syrup will dry out. Let salmon bake for about 15-17 minutes if using an oven.
Meanwhile, cut up your vegetables and sauté in a non stick skillet over medium heat using 1 tsp of coconut oil. Season with spices of choice or you can omit the spices and use 1 tsp of lemon juice (squeezed from lemon).
When ready, top with smoked salmon and avocado with a light drizzle of hot sauce and enjoy!

Thank you love, I have a serious love affair with all things coconut. I will definitely check out your blog
This looks delicious!! I hate living in an apartment and not being able to grill! I have managed to figure out a fool proof method for salmon with the stove / oven but nothing beats the grill.
Thanks girl!! Grilling isn’t as fun now as it is in the summer, so the oven is pretty convenient 🙂
